Escaping the Heat

I am sure you can all understand my desire to bolt from Phoenix over the summer as much as I possibly can. When it is hitting 110 every day I get away whenever my schedule allows (for my friends, family, colleagues, and clients who live in the winter cold weather states I am sure you are thinking that I should be taking my medicine as you did during the past harsh winter but remember you are always welcome to come play golf with me in January when it is 80 degrees!)

This past week I was thrilled to spend my time in Denver, one of my favorite cities in the country! I always rent a loft in LoDo, the local way of referring to Lower Downtown, where I can walk, bike or scooter to literally everything. Whether it is a Rockies game, music in the park, exploring Cherry Creek or frequenting my favorites restaurants and clubs it is always just a mater of minutes before I am in the heart of it all! This is one city that did it right!

This past weekend the Greenway Foundation put on an event where Cherry Creek dumps into the Platte River and was a combo of live music, paddle boarding, kayaking, contests with prizes and of course beer and over the top food…with Coors Light being a sponsor who would have guessed!

I wanted to share some pictures and hope that they will entice you to put this fab city on your list of must visit in the future!
